ST VINCENT DE PAUL
St Mary of the Angels has a Men's Conference and a Ladies' Conference. Both Conferences meet weekly in the Priory. Meetings begin with prayers and a spiritual reading. Everything that is discussed is confidential. Also they rely on other people in the Parish for information as to who might be in need of a visit or assistance. They also visit parishioners in their own homes. It is not the poverty of material goods that is the greatest need, but a poverty of loneliness and isolation. Both Conferences are looking for new members. If you would like more information or would like to help, please contact Peter Barry 029 20212398 or Jacquie Symonds. ![]() Display Pictures from SVP National Conference held at St Mary's September 2008 PRAYER GROUP This Group comes together on the second Monday of each month at 6.30 pm in the Priory, Talbot Street, Canton, for a quiet hour of prayer, relaxation and meditation. These checks help protect the vulnerable within the Parish - children and adults. We do not live in a perfect world and, therefore, every effort has to be made to strive to strengthen the support within the Parish. All people working with children and vulnerable adults must fulfil the criteria required by the children's protection procedure within the Archdiocese, which includes a Criminal Records Bureau check. Our local Child Protection Representatives are Pat McCormack 029 20215184 & Leane Foster 01446 711571. |
